The United Methodist Mission Church in Honduras is pleased to advise that they have recently posted their new, UMVIM Health Care Manual on their website, http://www.gbgm-umc.org/hondurasini/ This manual was designed to help health care teams and individuals interested in conducting health care missions to Honduras to be confident with their plans and complete in their planning.Recently, UMVIM in Honduras has been staffed with a Health Care Team Coordinator, Cindy Ceballos, http://us.mc1805.mail.yahoo.com/mc/compose?to=cynceb@yahoo.com who has been closely involved with the day-to-day work of each UMVIM health care team that has been to Honduras in the last year. Currently, she is very involved in coordinating activities with the Honduran Health Ministry to seek out synergies between the Church and the governmental health centers where we have congregations.
We would invite you to send this information to teams or individual health care providers who have expressed interest in a health care mission trip. We believe that, regardless of their proposed destination, this manual will help in their planning and develop questions (and possibly some answers) for their trip.
May God bless and strengthen the work of the United Methodist Church around the world as we seek to demonstrate the love of Our Lord.
Jay McDowell,
Health Care Team Leader and Website Maintenance for the Honduran Church Website
