Who We Are:
Salvadoran Mission Projects is led by Brian Dubberly, a United Methodist long-term Volunteer in Mission from the NC Conference, and Juan
de Dios Pena, President of the Evangelical Methodist Church in El Salvador. It is a partnership between the Methodist Church in El Salva-
dor and United Methodist Volunteers in Mission in the United States. SMP’s purpose is to improve the spiritual and physical lives of eco-
nomically disadvantaged people living in El Salvador. It uses volunteers and funds provided by the Evangelical Methodist Churches in El
Salvador and United Methodist Churches in the United States to build and repair church buildings, build and staff medical clinics, provide
food for the hungry, and build homes for people who do not have sufficient economic resources to obtain a home through any other means.
