Sixty youth from the Highland Park United Methodist Church in Dallas, Texas have just completed two weeks of service in Puerta Viejo, Sarapiqui, Costa Rica. While there, the youth dug ditches, poured concrete and laid blocks in the construction of an outpatient health facility.

Rev. Janet Collinsworth of St. Andrews is spearheading the Costa Rican project, which has grown and exceeded timeline expectations. The Costa Rican project administrator is Lilliana Rojas an RN. On July 30, 2011, a group of St. Andrew volunteers will arrive to continue working on construction. Lilliana, Rev. Collinsworth and Jane Dunn RN, MS, GBGM Health Consultant will begin initiation of a Health Promoter Training Course on August 1st.
