St. Luke's UMC in Indianapolis Announces Trip to Sierra Leone

Marilyn and Don Griffith invite volunteers to join them on a mission trip to Kissy Hospital in Sierra Leone, Africa.  There are two trip segments.  The first group will go from January 14-28, 2012 and the second volunteer period extends from January 28-February 11, 2012.  International travel is from Indianapolis, IN

Opportunities/Needs:

• Aid Kissy hospital staff with administrative skill development


• Help local staff with maintenance projects


• Provide direct patient care

Volunteers on January 28-Feb. 11 trip can also volunteer on a primary education project that includes:

• language arts


• library science

Cost:

    $3500 all inclusive except for travel clinic fees, vaccinations, malaria prophylaxis & airport meals

    A sample letter to assist you with fundraising requesting tax deductible gift to help with your costs will    be provided.
