NEW YORK (UMNS) — Relief efforts after the Jan. 12 earthquake are highlighted in a CBS-TV religion special, “Haiti: Religion’s Response to Disaster,” which will begin broadcast on Sunday, Dec. 5. Check local television listings for times. Members of the United Methodist Committee on Relief, Church World Service, Catholic Relief Services and the Jewish Distribution Committee will share stories about their work with viewers. Melissa Crutchfield of UMCOR talks about the Haitian people’s struggle for survival and her agency’s renewed efforts and commitment in Haiti.
