Request #2 (Medical Technologist):
My name is Emily Wilde, for the last several months I was planning to join a medical team to Nigeria. Due to some unfortunate circumstances, the trip to Nigeria from August 8-25th was postponed to next June. However, since I have been approved for the time off at work (which is a miracle in itself!), I still want to do some sort of missions work - hopefully around the same time that the Nigeria trip was planned, as not to cause too much hassle at work. I am mostly looking for something medically-related; I'm currently a medical technologist working in a microbiology lab, and I'm interested in pursuing further education in health (physician assistant).
I am interested in learning about any similar health team trips. I was really looking forward to this opportunity to use my medical/laboratory skills to help those less fortunate, and I still want to make it happen this summer if at all possible!
